As part of the IEDA project, URIHO organized the first LTT event, in February 2021.
The event was a three-day “Training on methods and techniques for teaching adults with disabilities”.
The participants in the training gained insight into the types of impairments and the ways in which people with individual impairments function. In addition, they were given a practical overview of what they need to take care of in order to create an inclusive educational environment.
Furthermore, this LTT event also had the function of testing the effectiveness of the first intellectual output of the “Curriculum on methods and techniques for teaching adults with disability” for providers of non-formal adult education.
Thanks to the active participation of all partners and expert evaluation by the Center Spirala in this phase of the project we are creating a better, more practical and more effective final version of our Curriculum.
We encourage all providers of non-formal adult education to stop for a minute and consider what obstacles people with disabilities can experience if they want to get involved in their programs of lifelong learning.
